We can stare at the obverse all day long! No question this coin is a super glittering GEM PROOF.
Deep mirrors are crystal clear, clean, and have bold reflectivity. The obverse really grades a PR67 because of its wild color-while the reverse is really a PR66 because it was clearly laying on velvet and has a more dusky type of toning. There are NO visible problems anywhere. The obverse is loaded with an electric royal blue/aqua green/gold color mix while the reverse is purple/blue. Both sides are totally ORIGINAL. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and do stand out. The eye appeal is fabulous!
ONLY 975 were ever minted. PCGS 15, NGC 29, CAC 13. All we can say is why isn’t this beautiful 133 year old coin worth at least $2,500.00? Time will correct this!
