10C 1873S W/A PCGS MS65

We are pleased to own and offer one of the FINEST examples of this rare date. This coin is more than worthy of being the single FINEST graded at PCGS.

Even satiny surfaces have no real marks or issues-even when using a strong glass. A moderate layer of deep pewter/purple color evenly covers both sides. A decent luster does glow and illuminate the deeper colors. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and do stand out. There is no question this coin is more than worthy of its designation. The eye appeal is very nice!

Obviously in GEM this date is super rare – that’s a powerful statement as to how they do not come-nice! This is yet another date that has greatly suffered price wise from lack of trades. Look at the 1863S we recently bought (pop 2) and we paid $37,500.00. An 1859S (pop 1) sold for over $75,000.00 back in 2004. So many of the lower pop dates (pop 3 ro lower) simply have NOT sold publicly to establish true prices. We think this coin is easily worth $25,000.00 in an auction.
