10C 1867 PCGS MS66

We purchased this coin from a major dealer’s personal collection (who happens to specialize in Dimes). He could have put any specimen in his set and chose this one. Its easy to see why.

Fully prooflike and highly lustrous surfaces provide this coin with tons of flash. Marks and lines are practically non existent. A neat mix of pale navy/gold/purple/russet colors swirl about both sides and open into off white centers. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have extra thick creamy frosting. The eye appeal is neat!

PCGS 7, NGC 13. PCGS has graded two coins higher (one sold for $9,200.00 back in 2005). According to our records, this is the ONLY 1867 10C we have ever owned or handled! The only auction record we could find is from 2004 when one sold for $3,565.00 Heritage.
