10C 1862 PCGS PR64
$1,095.00
IS everything we offer ULTRA HIGH END? NO! This coin definitely is in the top 2% for the grade for sure.
Using a strong glass all you can find is a few super light well hidden lines that keep this coin from a PR65 designation. They aren’t even obvious! The surfaces have surprisingly deep, clear, clean, and remarkably flashy mirrors. A light to moderate mix of pale purple/champagne/golden brown/pale blue colors swirl on both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is really nice!
Only 550 were minted of this rare Civil War era date. PCGS 30, NGC 40. PCGS has graded only 5 coins higher (proof of how rare it is). The last one to sell in major auction brought $1,265.00 1/09 Heritage. This coin we sold to a good customer back in 2005-where it has resided since.
