Using a strong glass all you can find is a teenie lint mark in the right field along with a small raised metal dot. Overall, the surfaces are very clean. The mirrors are deep, clear, and have bold reflectivity. A beautiful ring of blue/violet colors frame the peripheries and open into creamy white centers. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and have thick creamy white frost. The eye appeal is super nice!
Do not be fooled by the mintage of 1,000. Most pieces were melted due to poor sales. PCGS 2, NGC 1, CAC 1 (this is the ONLY cameo beaned by CAC of ANY grade). PCGS only has a PR65 higher and NGC has a PR66 and that’s it! No PCGS or NGC pieces have ever sold at auction. The Collectors Universe Value is $2,000.00. We bought his lovely GEM right, and will offer it as such-be glad this coin is not in an auction!
