We do not understand why genuine rare coins like this are not worth more-a lot more. Its not like this coin is 50 years old, its 168 years old and is hopefully preserved forever thanks to third party GS certification. This coin is a beautiful TRUE GEM!
The highlight of this coin has to be that both sides are satiny and have great cleanliness. To the naked eye there are no problems. The surfaces are just as impressive using a glass too. A strong luster also shows off sharply struck features. The eye appeal is terrific!
PCGS 6, NGC 5, CAC 1. This coin is housed in an older green tag holder. PCGS has graded only 2 coins higher (one of which is in our Simpson Collection). This will be your only opportunity for a very long time to buy a GEM 1842 10C. The last one sold in auction went for $3,737.00 in 11/2007 Heritage. In our opinion, these are too cheap!
