10C 1837 NO STARS PCGS PR64

$23,500.00

Anytime we see one of these we like, we do buy it. However, the last time we owned one was in the early 1990’s and it was one of the 2 NGC PR67’s. The great rarity of this coin can not over started!

This is a unquestionable SUPER HIGH END GEM. We see NO visible reason why this coin is not a PR65. it is clearly one of the nicer mirrored 1837 PR’s we have ever seen. There are NO visible imperfections on the flashy surfaces. A beautiful mix of a deep pewter/pale purple/blue colors all blend evenly on both sides. As expected, Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike to the point you could possibly hurt yourself by just looking! The eye appeal is terrific!

Could you imagine what this piece would be worth if it were gold? We guess about $250,000.00! Only because its not gold and the fact that so many have been tried for upgrades (a skewed pop report) that this coin is stupid cheap. Try and find one (especially a really nice one)-you do not see them offered in any frequency.

PCGS 6, NGC 14. PCGS has 2 65’s and one 66. NGC has 1 65, 1 66, and two PR67’s! The last PCGS PR65 to sell brought $35,650.00 in 09/07 Heritage. The last PCGS PR64 to sell bought $14,950.00 in a 2003 Goldberg sale! Also remember, the mintage is a mere 30 pieces-6 more than a 94S 10C!!!!!
