What a great quality 1912S! You’ll see them in MS64 and even 64+, but never in FULL true GEM MS65!
Impressive surfaces are super clean and smooth. There are a few light frost breaks and a teenie tick or two, but nothing stands out to the naked eye. A surprisingly strong luster (for a 12S) illuminates the soft and totally original gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is full GEM MS65!
PCGS 10, NGC 8, CAC 3. PCGS has graded only 2 higher. This exact piece was the last to sell in auction back in 08/2013 Stacks. It brought $64,625.00 in fierce bidding.
