Both sides are clean overall and reveal nothing worse than a tiny tick or two. There are NO spots or discolorations. An unusual “headlight” type luster lights up the beautiful deeper yellow gold color. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have super sharp strikes. The eye appeal is really phenomenal!
just 11,690 were minted. This coin is tied for FINEST graded at PCGS. PCGS 2, NGC 3. Only NGC has possibly graded 3 coins in MS62 and that’s it. The last time one of these was in a major public auction was when this coin appeared. It sold for $47,438.00 in 08/07. There have been NO other records of any PCGS MS61 coin selling in auction at any time. We can’t stress enough how great looking and truly quality oriented this coin is. You certainly won’t see any frequency of these ever offered!
