Love this HIGH END beauty! We really don’t see why it is only an AU50.
Way above average surfaces have a few trivial ticks that can really only be seen with a strong glass. To the naked eye the surfaces look clean. Not only does this coin have some original luster, but semi-prooflike surfaces illuminate the coin as well. Both sides are an even pale orange gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations. No question this coin has never been messed with. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. The eye appeal is fantastic!
Only 4696 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 11, NGC 13, CAC 1 (the only other coins beaned by CAC-are two AU58’s). Obviously, this is one of the few opportunities to buy a CAC specimen for the date in AU. If you are a picky $10 or CC collector, this coin will be a more then welcome addition to your collection!
