$10 1862 PCGS AU53

Unquestionably this is an unmessed with totally original piece. these Civil War era dates are hard to come by.

First, you are surprised by this coin dynamic luster. There are numerous small ticks and giggles scattered about-NONE are serious or are detracting to your eyes. There is a super light hint of toning all over (yes the slight”dirty” look. There are NO spots or stains. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is very pleasing!

PCGS 11, NGC 17, CAC 4 (suspect this piece is represented more then once as a AU53). NO PCGS CAC piece has ever sold at auction. A NON CAC NGC piece recently sold for $8,812.00 04/2014 Heritage. Once this coin is sold, good luck finding another beaned AU 1862. They are MUCH rarer then the pops indicate.
