For a date that rarely comes nice, this coin is a breath of fresh air! There are very few serious marks. There are a few soft frost breaks. The surfaces overall do appear satiny and smooth. A surprisingly strong luster enhances everything. Both sides are a luscious original gold color. There are NO spots or stains. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is fantastic!
PCGS 3, NGC 4, CAC 1. PCGS has graded only one coin finer. while NGC has 4. There are no auction records for any PCGS CAC piece ever selling. The current Collectors Universe Value is $26,500.00. Because of this coins high quality and great eye appeal, Simpson paid much more then CU! If an MS62 existed it probably would cost $40,000.00+
