$1 LAFAYETTE DOLLAR PCGS MS65

This is the first MS 65 Lafayette we have owned for inventory since 2007! You can not imagine how many dull, UGLY (and we mean ugly), over graded pieces we have been offered. here too, CAC will make a great impact. Commems like this will become good looking again for their grades, thus collectors will want to buy them.

This coin actually was a “no brainer” we just had to do a little negotiating on the price. both sides have smooth and pretty clean surfaces. A few teenie ticks are visible really with a strong glass on the reverse under the horse. A killer powerful luster radiates and shows off pale champagne/gold color-although you can call this coin creamy white. All of the details are sharply struck. You do not need a glass to see great strike on the boots of Lafayette. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 241, NGC 191. It will be very interesting to see what the CAC will pops will be for this date. Based upon what we have seen over the years, we can not imagine them being very high.

In 04/09 one sold for 9,775.00 Heritage. In 2008, several sold for $10,350.00. Its all a matter of how nice the coin is. Fortunately, this coin is VERY nice!
