No question the toning is 100% original. If this were a gold coin, it would be called “dirty” (NOT a negative). The quality is VERY high end too!
Superior “deep dish” surfaces reveal NO flaws to the naked eye. Only with a strong glass can you find a single tiny reeding mark. The surfaces are sleek and do emit a strong luster. Both sides are splashed/sprinkled with totally original pale lavender/gold/olive/creamy white colors. Miss Liberty and the details are are seriously above average in strike (everyone thinks these come fully struck buy they do not). The eye appeal is pretty neat!
PCGS 1351, NGC 1174, CAC 179. The last one to sell in auction brought $3,290.00 08/2015. Back in 01/2015 one sold for $2,820.00. These do NOT make frequent appearances!
