We can’t stress enough how rare true 1896 GEM DMPL’s are. This coin is a ‘no brainer” DMPL. At first glance, it looks like a Proof!
The mirrors are a full 8″. They are deep, clear, and have bold reflectivity. There are a few very minor scattered teenie ticks. Both sides are untoned. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is fantastic! PCGS 19, NGC 1, CAC 3. We really do not believe the pop of 19 is accurate (we think more like 7-10 if even).
This piece will make a great addition to any GEM DMPL collection!
