We have always had out “favorite” dates in the Morgans, this is one. From the first time we saw it, we targeted owning this stunning MS65 1894. We hardly ever see them this nice (or even close)!
Get a powerful glass and look as hard as you can. This coin has ZERO imperfections of ANY size, ANY where. The surfaces texture is satiny smooth. A strong luster shows off totally original green/blue/golden brown obverse colors. The reverse is more golden brown. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and do stand out. The eye appeal is terrific!
PCGS 22, NGC 4, CAC 7. This coin sold for $36,725.00 in the Sunnywood/Simpson Sale. Prior to that, the last 1894 to sell in auction was a PCGS NON CAC. That coin realized $39,656.00. You can’t beat the quality and pedigree of this great coin!
