Rarely do you see this date and grade with any genuine color. This piece is a duplicate from the amazing colored Sunnywood collection-the only COMPLETE Colored Collection in PCGS holders!
The obverse is a mix of what we like to call”Christmas colors”. Vivid shades of red/violet/gold/green cover the surfaces evenly. There is only some faded gold/violet on the reverse. The surfaces are visible and there are remarkably no problems. A full booming luster certainly adds to the colors. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal is fabulous!
PCGS 303, NGC 246, CAC 8. The holder is NOT pedigreed Sunnywood. An interesting note: after 20+ years of grading, PCGS only has ONE coin (an MS66) graded higher for the date.
