We have NOT seen a GEMMY 1887 nearly as nice in over a year. This coin is a real MS67!
Both sides are remarkably clean and satiny in texture. A full booming luster shows off a pretty strip of deep reddish gold on the right obverse periphery. The rest of the coin is white. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and fully struck. The eye appeal is excellent!
PCGS 66, NGC 271, CAC 11. These have really been hit hard by gradeflation. There was a time when any 1887 in MS67 was a $2,000-$2,500.00 coin. CAC is helping to identify the over graded or messed with coins. We do believe these will retain significant value as time goes on.
