$1 1887 PCGS MS65 SONNIER COLLECTION

SONNIER COLLECTION (not on holder). This coin sort of reminds us of the Purina checkerboard logo. All over the face only are textile toning dots lined up in a very orderly fashion.

Semi neon like colors are satiny and glow. The shades are violet/red/gold/amber w/hints of blue by the left rim. A full booming luster adds the colors and makes the dots stand out. We grade the colors MS67.5. The colors only cover the obverse.

We totally feel this coin should have been graded MS66. There are NO major marks anywhere. The reverse (which is full frosty white) is full MS65+ quality. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is tremendous! Original burlap bag toning is something you do not see at shows or even auctions any more. Even though its typical quality for a SONNIER coin, to the rest of the world its a moose!
