We recently sold a coin nicknamed “the comet”. This coin is sort of similar and has colors so out of this world we named it “neon comet”. No question the colors are original and are from a burlap bag.
To start, the technical quality is VERY HIGH END. There are no real problems to see. A full booming luster illuminates one of mother natures greatest shows ever. Neon like colors of pearl green/amber/magenta/deep violet/blue/purple all swirl wildly on the obverse. You can clearly see a killer pattern of burlap bag toning dots. The reverse is white with some light gold by the rims. The eye appeal is so wild you will never get this monster out of your mind!
The value is in the colors. having handled the Sonnier Collection of toned Morgans and the Sunnywood Simpson Collection, we know what really wild toners should look like. THIS COIN IS AS WILD AND ORIGINAL AS YOU WILL EVER SEE! Be glad this coin is not in an auction.
