SONNIER COLLECTION. We grade the colors MS66.5. Like the 92CC, 85CC’s are not coins we have seen with a lot of cool original colors.
Only using a strong glass can you detect a few teenie ticks on the cheek. Otherwise, the coin is very clean and smooth. Both sides have a strong luster. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have excellent strikes. The reverse is a full frosty MS65.
We call this coin “tickle me blue” because over 80% of the obverse is blue. Its actually more a moderate blue/green mix. There is also a good dose of pale violet/gold colors. The eye appeal is terrific!
