$1 1885-CC PCGS MS66 DMPL

We unhesitatingly rank this SUPER HIGH END MONSTER GEM as a MS66+. We did submit it way back when and obviously PCGS was having a bad hair day. We make no promises it will ever +, but geez, if all 66DMPL’s looked like this-WOW! In at first glance, this coin looks like a DCameo Proof!

Intense mirrors are at least 10++ (you read that right) and beam boldly from all over. Just a few very tiny scattered tick/scuffs can be seen (those 2-3 ticks are all that keep this coin from a MS67 DMPL grade). When you twirl this coin the mirrors look like a freshly made sheet of glass. You can even brush your teeth using these mirrors! Both sides are untoned. Overall this coins a full ULTRA black and white bold contrasted piece. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and of course have super thick frost. The eye appeal is jaw dropping!

PCGS 47, NGC 20, CAC 17. To us it really does not matter what other 1885CC’s have sold for. You do NOT pay bid or buy a coin like this cheaply. This coin is far better then most CC DMPL’s (not just an 85CC)-seeing is believing! We assure you it is BETTER then at least one MS67 DMPL.  If you are picky buyer, this coin WILL be more then acceptable to you. PCGS showed it no mercy.

This is pure Naples III quality. We do not see ULTRA black and white DMPL’s like this any more. We’ll miss this coin!
