$1 1884S PCGS MS63

Saw this remarkable piece and had to buy it! We can not stress enough how RARE a true CHOICE 1884S is. This date (like so many others) has been a sad victim of gradeflation.

We have seen many higher grade COMMON dates that are not as clean. PCGS seems to use a different standard for rarities. The surfaces are also semi-prooflike and emit a strong luster. Both sides have a totally ORIGINAL reddish gold mix that’s starts at the rims and blends into light gold/creamy white centers. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and have FULL strikes, This coin definitely has never been messed with. We grade the reverse MS63++. The eye appeal is wonderful!

PCGS 42, NGC 44, CAC 4. The last two pieces to sell in major auctions brought $44,062.00 10/2012 and $48,875.00 07/2012 Heritage (don’t think this was a yearly occurrence – the next closest sale to these is 2010)!
