$1 1883S PCGS MS64

Every couple of years we find an 83S that is cameoed and is a borderline prooflike. We can tell you, PCGS is insanely tight on calling any 83S PL!

WOW! hard to believe that this coin is an 83S. Cover up the date and you absolutely would call it an 80S. Both sides are fully Cameoed! Also, they are so close to being fully prooflike. A nearly blinding luster shows off remarkably clean (there are few tiny ticks) overall surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have amazing thick snow white frost. Her cheek is 100% original and nothing on this coin has been messed with. This is NOT any where near typical for an 83S. The eye appeal is mind boggling!

PCGS has graded possibly 372 in MS64 (of course we disagree). Of all those, we’d guess only 2 coins even come close to this one! Yes, we said only 2 (we have seen one other years ago that was a monster cameoed 64-and we’ll allow for one more).

Fortunately, the price we paid for this coin was not at any premium. An MS65 looking like this would easily be $50,000.00. We are pleased to offer this exceptional specimen at a VERY fair price!
