We paid a lot of money for this piece, but its an awful lot of coin! We grade the coin MS67.8++! We did send it to PCGS seeking a + and you can see the results. Nothing infuriates us more. Regardless, you look at the coin IN PERSON and be the judge. This is one of the FINEST MS 1882CC $1 we have ever owned!
Absolutely phenomenal surfaces are the epitome of cleanliness and sleek looking. Only the teeniest tick can be found with a powerful glass. There are definite traces of semi-prooflike mirrors. Both sides are pure blazing snow white and can light up a dark room. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have extra thick snow white frost. Her cheek is clean and is well rounded. The eye appeal is jaw dropping and head shaking!
PCGS 52, NGC 60, CAC 7. Yes, average pieces do sell for less (about $7-$8,000.00). This coin is multiples nicer than ANY average coin! It belongs in only the FINEST collection (as does our O/CC PCGS MS66). If you seek the finest for what ever set you are building, this IS your coin!
