$1 1882 PCGS PR68

$45,000.00

This coin IS the epitome of perfection for a Proof Morgan. It came out of a Proof set that apparently was recently split up (not by us). We can not stress enough how rare it is for PCGS to grade it and then CAC to sticker it. You won’t see many of these as time goes on!

Amazing mirrors glow with superior flash from both sides. Using a strong glass you will find nothing but icy surfaces with NO imperfections. The obverse is covered in moderate navy/purple/champagne colors that open to a lighter space where apparently a dime had been resting. The reverse is completely covered by navy/purple colors. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is incredible!

PCGS 4, NGC 7, CAC 1. An NGC made the last appearance in a major auction. It bought $40,250.00 07/2004 Heritage. So that basically proves that these do not come to market often. The last auction appearance for a PCGS coin-back in 1999! We can’t even find any recent sales of PCGS coins to compare. PCGS has graded 34 total PR68’s for the series (we do know a few coins have been upgraded to NGC PR69’s), while CAC has beaned only 4 coins total.

This coin is a monster! We had several calls on the killer 1911 50C that were too late. Do not wait, we do not expect this coin to last long! Legend Numismatics is proud to own and offer this wonder GEM.
