WOW-a neat toned dollar that’s NOT part of the Sonnier Collection. How in the world did he miss it? We can’t answer that but we didn’t!
The highlight of this coin (besides the colors) has to be its ultra intense luster. You can be a mile away and see this coins glow. There is a hint of semi-prooflike mirrors. Overall, the coin is super clean and smooth looking. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. The obverse is completely covered by a vivid electric mix of rainbow gold/baby blue/violet/pale pearl green. You do not have to tilt the coin to see these colors!
This coin fits in either a world class colored Type set, a colored Morgan set, or your collection!
Even non colored 81S are not as common as you might think in this lofty state of preservation. PCGS 89, NGC 177, CAC 27.
