SONNIER COLLECTION. This coin was named “Black Opel” by Bryan. One look and you can see why! We grade the colors MS69.9++!!! You read that right! It is our strong opinion, this is one of the greatest colored Morgans in existence!
First, we see no valid reason what so ever why this only an MS66. We have given serious thought to resubmitting it. The surfaces glisten with a blinding luster and semi-prooflike mirrors that seem like fresh ice on a perfect pond. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have lots of frost.
The colors look like the wildest black opel mix you can imagine. Electric and neon shades of violet/electric gold/purple/royal blue intermingle in an unforgettable way. These are colors that have an intense fire and are totally original. An image of this coin just won’t do it justice! You will see very few colored Morgans EVER as wild!
