$1 1862 PCGS PR65

WOW! When we first saw this gorgeous GEM our hearts melted! We rarely see these Civil War era big boys with anything but dark or dull color. This coin is totally refreshing!

Strong mirrors look like a sheet of ice. Only with a strong glass can you find any light stray lines. The mirrors are also clean overall, have good clarity, and are very reflective. The obverse has a gorgeous big crescent of totally original and vibrant royal blue/deep violet colors that open into deep pewter centers. The reverse was probably sitting on felt for many years and has a more muted blue/gold/violet color scheme. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have exceptional strikes. The eye appeal is fantastic!

ONLY 550 were minted. PCGS 12, NGC 13, CAC 5. The last one to sell in a major auction brought $13,800.00 08/2011 Stacks. 3 years is along time in between sightings! if you collector Civil War dates, PR Seated coins,or just buy neat coins, this definitely is something to consider!
