$1 1862 PCGS MS63

We have seen a few MS64’s that do not look as nice!

We could see this coin one day in an MS63+ holder (no guarantees made tho). The surfaces are fairly clean and sleek. Only with a glass can you see some light scuffs and lines (mostly Mint made die polishing). A surprisingly strong luster beams the original silvery surface color that is framed by a thin band of gold right at you. There is a hint of semi-prooflike mirrors all over. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck and do have thick creamy frost. The eye appeal is wonderful!

PCGS 16, NGC 12, CAC 4. According to our auction records, there has NOT been ANY PCGS 1862 MS63 in auction since 2005! Back then the coin sold for $7,188.00 Goldberg. The last MS64 to sell was in 2011. So do NOT let the pops fool you-this is a very tough coin to find in MS63 and higher!
