Deep and highly reflective mirrors beam from all over. unusual for a big coin that the mirrors are also surprisingly clean and have great clarity. You know this coin sat forever undisturbed as it has acquired outstanding vibrant colors of ORIGINAL blue/green/violet on the obverse while the reverse is more a blue purple. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and have sharp strikes. The eye appeal is totally jaw dropping for sure!
About 1000 were minted (most were melted). PCGS 3, NGC 7, CAC 1. Very important: the last one sold in major auction was back in 2004! That coin realized $23,000.00 11/04 Heritage. You can’t get anymore powerful proof as to how rare and undervalued a piece like this is! For one not to show on the market for almost 9 years-thats impressive!
