$1 1857 PCGS MS64

This is not a marginal prooflike piece-it is FULLY prooflike with out a doubt! Its a real neat MS64.

At first glance you could mistake this coin for a proof! The mirrors are 4″ and have great clarity, depth, and reflectivity. Hard to believe, but there are virtually NO marks (just a scattered teenie tick or two). A mellow and very pretty layer of golden brown/pale purple/pale violet colors evenly cover both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. Her head does show a little softness. The eye appeal is exceptional!

PCGS 7, NGC 19, CAC 3. PCGS has graded only 2 coins higher (and one would cost you at least $65,000.00-if you could find one). The last one of these to sell in major auction brought $18,400.00 1/2008 Heritage!
