$1 1855 PCGS MS63 SHARE-LEGEND

SUPER HIGH END> we did compare this coin to the really nice MS64 we had in stock. Damn, it is that close! Outstanding surfaces are super clean to the naked eye. Only with a strong glass and some looking around will you find some microscopic ticks in the right obverse field. There is a scratch at 12:00 on the reverse-which is really all that keeps this coin from grading MS64. We’ve seen MS 64 common dates with worse!  A really strong luster is added too with light semi-prooflike mirrors. Both sides have a beautiful and totally original mix of tangerine/deep pewter/pale purple colors. Miss Liberty is remarkably full in strike as are all the details. The eye appeal is amazing! PCGS 6, NGC 2, CAC 2. The last PCGS MS63 to sell in auction brought $16,675.00-way back in 2003! PCGS has only 2 finer-both are placed in major collections (the last auction record for an MS64 is  $141,000.00 06/2104). We are guilty of at least 2 resubmissions of this coin. Your certainly NOT ever coin to have many chances at an 1855 as superb as this.  In fact, this coin resided in the #1 all time MS Seated Dollar set for about 5 years. It was that hard to find a better 1855!
