Legend Numismatics is proud to offer this exquisite example of a classic rarity in the Seated Dollar world. We easily consider this coin to be VERY High end. Finding ANY MS 1852 is a treasure! Superior surfaces are ridiculously mark free. Even when using a strong glass all you can find are some light Mint Made die polishing lines and a microscopic tick or two and that is it. The surfaces are both highly luster and prooflike. No imagination needed. There are some splashes of totally original purple/navy/deep gold splashed around both sides. The coin is mostly a silvery white. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and are fully struck. The eye appeal is fantastic! PCGS 2, NGC 1, CAC 1. The extreme rarity of this coin can NOT be overstated. PCGS has graded possibly only 4 coins higher-with the MS65 just trading for $300,000.00 and the MS64 $150,000.00. Throw away the published price guides on these as they are that rare. We will note the last time this coin sold at auction, it brought $70,500.00 01/2015 (during a weaker market).
