According to our records, the last one of these we owned was back in 2005! We do hunt for these. We were walking by a dealers table and this coin stopped us dead. After some intense examination and negotiations, it was ours!

This pretty much is a GEM AU. You can look hard and all day and the only wear will you will find-is very light andis on the eagle on the reverse. Overall, the surfaces are incredibly smooth and clean. A surprising amount of luster remains. Both sides are evenly covered by a light mix of lavender/pale gold colors. There are NO discolorations on the highpoints. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal is superb!

PCGS 12, NGC 5, CAC 3 (there is only one bean higher). The only PCGS CAC piece we could find an auction record on was the Hesslgesser coin which brought $97,750.00 09/2011 Goldberg. A NON CAC PCGS piece brought $66,700.00 05/2012 Goldberg. As you can see, these do NOT make frequent appearances. Do NOT let the pops fool you-this a very rare coin! Any picky buyer will delight in adding this coin to their collection.
