1867-P $5 Pattern J-599 PCGS PR66RB (CAC)

$20,000.00

Love this Proof $5 struck in copper. It is an R-7 (4-12 minted). Clearly it is the finest known.

Strong mirrors beam from all over. The mirrors are extremely clean. If you twirl the coin the mirrors look like thick glass. Both sides are loaded with killer original colors of brown/green/gold/pale violet/blue. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and boldly stand out. The eye appeal is fantastic!

PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. Of course there is no prior auction record. You knew this was coming: if this was a gold proof in 66, it would be worth at least $60,000.00! What a deal this off metal pattern offers! We feel strongly this coin is too cheap.
