WOW! What a killer piece! Why PCGS did not designate it a PR68, we don’t know (actually we do-the + button was at work that day)!
Outrageous mirrors are flawless and have powerful clarity, and reflectivity. Even with a strong glass you can not find ANY imperfections. When you twirl the coin, the mirrors look like a freshly formed sheet of glass. The obverse has a more ORIGINAL russet/golden brown/blue coloration. The reverse has PR69 rainbow colors-beyond a major WOW factor! Miss Liberty and the details are pinpoint sharp in strike and are loaded with thick creamy frost. The eye appeal is awesome!
ONLY 880 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 11, NGC 14, CAC 8. The last PR67+ that sold in auction brought $6,463.00 10/2019. In PR68, PCGS has only graded 4 coins! This is NOT your typical 1895-it has some cool eye appeal!
