This is a really nice HIGH END COIN. It is closer to MS 65 then MS64!
Typically, these come dull and crusty. Overall, the surfaces appear clean and smooth. Only when using a strong glass can you see a few ticks and a small scrape (well hidden). Both sides enjoy a strong unbroken luster. The color is an original gold with orange gold highlights. There are NO spots or discolorations. All of the details are exceptionally struck (even for a 1910S). The eye appeal is wonderful!
PCGS 20, NGC 18, CAC 8. PCGS has graded 3 in MS64+. The current Collectors Universe value is only $48,500.00. We never see fresh looking GEM 1910-S $5 offered. The PCGS CAC MS65+ we paid $123,375.00 is locked away on a world class collection (Half Dome). This piece will be the finest obtainable for years!
