What a spectacular coin! Its amazing to us how this piece has survived in such an amazing state of preservation for its 158 year existence. Remember this coin was minted in the thick of the Civil War!
Remarkable surfaces are clean and are slightly semi prooflike. When using a strong glass you can see light Mint made die polishing line and light die clashing. There is an intense luster. Both sides are a GEMMY original even gold color. There re NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are pinpoint sharp in strike and have generous frost. The eye appeal is fabulous!
PCGS 7, NGC 7, CAC 13. PCGS has graded only 4 coins MS67+. Prior to this coin selling, the last PCGS CAC piece brought $15,000.00 11/2020. The current Collectors Universe value is $12,500.00. We think a coin like this is terribly UNDERvalued. Opportunity knocks loud here!
