$5 1870-CC PCGS VF 30

We marvel at this older holder circulated GEM. It is the real deal! The surfaces are remarkably clean and smooth. Only using a strong glass can you find some scattered old light ticks. This coin appears never to have been cleaned or messed with. There actually is slight luster when you tilt the coin. Both sides are a deeper and are a totally original orange gold color. There are no spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and all the details have even wear. There are no wear discolorations on the high points. For a 70CC in VF, this coin looks fabulous! PCGS 7, NGC 3, CAC 2. Do NOT let the pop reports fool you-any $5 or $10 1870CC unmessed with (and is CAC beaned) is exceedingly rare. The price guides are all wrong because so few have ever traded. Out side of buying a specific AU 58 coin years ago for a customer, this is actually the first 70CC $5 Legend has ever owned. Don’t count on even buying an XF (CAC).
