What a fabulous GEM! It boggles our minds how any 184 year old copper coin can survive in such a pristine state of preservation. The surfaces are immaculate over all save for one HIDDEN small tick. They also have a smooth texture. A light to moderate gloss can be seen. Both sides are a deeper brown color. There is a touch of deeper toning on the obverse. Most important, there are no spots. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. There is a neat die crack (Mint made) running through the stars at 5:00 on the obverse. The eye appeal is superb! PCGS 4, NGC 3, CAC 5. PCGS has graded only 2 in MS65+BN. The other coin sold for $7,050.00 06/2017. It also should be noted, a PCGS MS65 BN CAC sold for $6,756.00 in our 12/2015 sale.
