$3 1874 PCGS MS64

$5,150.00

From ANA on, we had been looking for two really nice pieces for $3 Gold in MS64. Surprisingly, we could not find ones we liked-even stickered coins (we do not care for dipped pieces). To us, originality weighs heavy. Saw many dipped pieces. This coin stood out like a beam of light (and yes, we did finally find our 2 coins).  The quality here is high end. Superb surfaces really are just that. They are super clean and and are super smooth. You can see a few frost breaks and very tiny ticks if you look really hard-NONE stand out to the naked eye. A bold luster really enlivens the coin. Both sides are a beautiful and totally original pale orange gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations and this coin has never been dipped. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are very well struck. The eye appeal is wonderful! PCGS 98, NGC 74, CAC 24. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $6,462.00 04/2014. It should be noted, this date is no where near as common as the 1878 which has a pop of 776 in PCGS MS64 with 138 CAC’d. Respect it, the date is still 143 years old. Its remarkable this coin looks almost as good as the day t left the bank! We really do like this coin and think is a great fit for any medium range Type set. WE HAVE POSTED THIS COIN AT OUR BEST PRICE
