50C 1817 PCGS MS66 0-107

When we first laid eyes on this GEM we were impressed. It took us 24 hours to get the owner to come down to a fair price. We can understand his greed-this is one heck of a coin! Absolutely impeccable surfaces are a total joy to behold. Not a single impairment is visible-even when using a strong glass. The surfaces are also quite smooth. A moderate luster can be seen. Both sides are a totally natural dove /pewter color. The reverse has an area that has some pale olive. Miss Liberty and every detail are sharply struck and have gentle frost. The eye appeal is wonderful! PCGS 4, NGC 2, CAC 3 (we think this coin was tried 2x for a +).  The last record of ANY 1817 in PCGS MS66 selling was for $58,750.00 09/2015. There are NO correct published values for this date and grade. PCGS has only one coin finer-the ex Pogue coin which did NOT sticker at CAC. We unhesitatingly pronounce this coin to be one of the BEST 1817’s you can ever buy. If your a Bust Half collector or just love neat coins, then you really should check this total GEM out!
