25C 1844 PCGS MS64+

Really HIGH end and SUPERB in every respect! We think in the days before certification this coin would have easily been called an MS65 GEM. Overall, the surfaces are amazingly clean. Only with a really strong glass and lots of looking can you find some faint lines scattered about. They are NOT numerous and do NOT stand out. A surprisingly strong luster not only enhances the gorgeous colors, it blows up the bold semi-prooflike mirrors visible on both sides. Totally original shades of moderate forest green/blue/gold/pale olive swirl all over. The colors are NOT dark or drab. Miss Liberty and every detail is frosty and have great strikes. The eye appeal is fabulous! PCGS 5, NGC 4, CAC 5. PCGS has graded only 2 in MS64+. A lesser example (which we bought and sold) traded for $3,055.00 in auction 04/2107. This coin has much more color and is a bit nicer. This coin brought $4,724.00 08/2016. It is our strong opinion BOTH MS64+ should be worth close to $7,500.00. Note: the last MS 65 to sell in auction (MS65 PCGS pop 2) brought $15,275.00 06/2014. That should be strong proof as to how rare this date is true GEM. WE HAVE POSTED THIS COIN AT OUR BEST PRICE
