$1 1864 PCGS MS64+

This is the GODZILLA of the MS 1864 $1 set! WOW! Before certification, this coin would have been a ‘monster” GEM. Today, its still a “monster” GEM” just at a pinpoint lesser grade. Mother Nature really did this coin well. Remarkable surfaces are exceptionally clean and smooth. Only with a strong glass can you find some lines. Bagmarks really do not exist here.  A strong luster illuminates a stunning circle of totally original aqua blue/green that opens into pale champagne/golden centers. On the obverse the toning pattern suggests a coin had been sitting on top. Regardless, the colors are gorgeous. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and have light frost.  The eye appeal is a mega watt WOW! PCGS 6, NGC 6, CAC 3. This is NOT anywhere near any typical MS64-or even MS64+. The current Collectors universe Value is $28,000.00. An MS65 PCGS CAC would cost $50,000.00 today-and we know NONE exist looking anything like this (remember Legend has built the #1 all time finest ever MS Seated Dollar Collection-so we do know what exists)!
