G $1 1867 PCGS MS64

This coin clearly is a legit MS64+. Its near miss due to some light lines and a tiny lint mark. Fully prooflike surfaces are clean overall. You can clearly see some Mint made die clashing. Using a glass, you also can CLEARLY see the word LIBERTY impress through to the reverse below the date. We do not see that very much at all. Both sides are bright yellow gold. There are no spots. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have crisp sharp strikes. The eye appeal is super! ONLY 5200 were minted. PCGS 14, NGC 10, CAC 5. PCGS has graded only 10 coins higher. Not only has NO PCGS CAC piece in MS64 ever sold-the last example of this date to sell was back in 2006-when one fetched $2,587.00 (even the last MS65 sold in 2005). We consider this date to be a “silent stopper” for the series. If you’re building a set, this is a great addition, or if you just put coins away, its a smart addition.
