J- 900 25C 1870 PCGS PR67 SIMPSON

Even if you don’t collect Patterns, this AMAZING Standard Silver Pattern will melt your heart! It is one of the FINEST specimens from the worlds greatest (ever) Simpson Pattern Collection. This coin is an R-5 (21-20 minted). It is struck in silver. Out of this world mirrors really beam wildly from all over. The amazing mirrors are ultra clean, have sensational clarity, and are beyond reflective. A jaw dropping eye rolling ring of totally original deep blue/pale gold/pale violet hugs the rims only on the obverse. The reverse is a total mix of lively blue/olive (this side possibly sat on felt). Every detail looks like it was created by using a surgeons scalpel as every minute detail is clearly visible. Of course the portrait stands out boldly frosted (the toned reverse keeps this from a full CAMEO designation). The eye appeal puts this coin in the category of being a full MONSTER!!!! PCGS1, NGC 0, CAC 1. Of course this coin has never been in auction. We think it also deserves a + (PCGS was sleeping the day it came in apparently).  We last handled a PR66 back in 2013 and we PAID $4,500.00 for it. This coin is easily worth a multiple.
