1C 1795 PCGS MS63+BN S-76B PLAIN EDGE REYNOLDS

$22,500.00

What are we missing here? PCGS was as super tight on this piece as we have ever seen (we believe they grade Early Copper tight). It sure looks better then many higher graded pieces we have seen! Virtually flawless surfaces are smooth. We used a strong glass to examine it, and all we could find was ultra light porosity on the planchet (and we mean ultra light and scattered). In fact, you can say this was struck on a problem free blank. A light luster enhances the super even and totally original chocolate brown colors. There are NO spots or imperfections. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal is special  (we could stare at it all day)! PCGS 16, NGC 8, CAC 2. PCGS has graded only 2 coins in MS63+ with possibly 10 higher. The other coin sold in 01/2106 and brought $22,913.00. It is our strong opinion, these coins are as grossly undervalued as any coin could be. We know this piece is an absolute prize. It is 221 years old and looks like it was recently crafted from a chunk of milk chocolate. Keep in mind, back then every coin was hand made. This is a tremendous piece of history. Opportunity (especially at today’s levels) can not knock any louder! Special Note: Legend purchased this coin for a log time customer for whom we are building one heck of a PRE 1800 Type Set for. To show you the caliber of quality on the set: this coin was replaced by the 1C 1794 PCGS MS66+ BN CAC Lord St Oswald coin!
