Full disclosure: we bought this magnificent coin out of our Regency Sale in New Orleans. We do NOT compete in our sales, but when the gavel is going down and there is real bargain to be had-we do bid. This coin sold too cheap! We think this coin is VERY high end and VERY under rated. Exceptional surfaces are smooth and super clean. Only with a really strong glass can you see one tiny partial reeding mark. The surface also appear slight satiny. A moderate luster (this is an O Mint so don’t expect more) shows off  the pretty pewter/pale lavender/olive original colors. This is NOT a dull or drab coin. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are fully struck. The eye appeal actually is fantastic! PCGS 2, NGC 1, CAC 1. PCGS and NGC have graded NONE higher. Prior to this coin selling in our auction, it last sold for $25,262.50 back in 2013. We can not stress enough how extremely RARE this date is in choice MS and GEM (there ere only 3 MS63’s and 2 MS64’s by PCGS). Once this outstanding coin is sold, there is NO equal replacement as proven by 35+ years of grading at PCGS (and 8 at CAC). This would also make one heck of a Type coin! It is our very strong opinion, this coin should be worth $30-$35,000.00 today. With MS Seated being too soft, NOW is the time to buy a coin like this. In time, the market will bring it back to where it should be. Opportunity knocks loud here.
