$2.5 1805 PCGS AU53

Superb in every respect. We consider this coin a VERY HIGH END and choice AU piece. Exceptional surfaces are ultra clean and smooth. Only with a strong glass can you see light lines and any wear. You can see traces of light traces of semi-prooflike mirrors all over. A strong luster enhances gorgeous and original deep yellow gold with highlights of green and apricot gold. There are no discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are gently frosted and crisp sharp strikes. There are some light adjustment lines inside the shield on the reverse. The eye appeal is really fantastic! Only 1781 were minted. PCGS 10, NGC 7, CAC 1. Our records show the last PCGS AU53 to sell in auction was a NON CAC piece. That coin brought $19,550.00 back in 2011! The last NGC coin sold in 2003.  Do NOT be fooled by the pop reports, these are genuine RARE coins. Think about this, the last one to sell was back in 2011-FIVE full years ago! We certainly NEVER  see this date offered in any grade. You can NOT buy true quality pieces like this cheap. ANY NON CAC you might WILL have a problem (or else it would be CAC). The timing of buying a coin like this sure could not be any better.
